Moving on Out

So I have obviously had a very long lapse in my blog posts. Its not my fault...really..I mean..ok fine I've been lousy with it. Though, I do have a good excuse. My boyfriend and I have recently moved out into our own apartment! It is very exciting to have our place, but also very, very stressful. Right now I'm working on some Fun DIY projects for decorating, so it doesn't feel so much like we live in a crack den :)

I Want, I Want, I Want

SO, I realize that on the streets of Idaho (where you will commonly see lumberjack attire) that these shoes are not exactly practical and realistic. However, I also realize that I have become obsessed with them, and no longer care what the lumberjack-clad people think as I totter by them in my new platform peep toe leopard print wedges I'll be smiling :)

Zips

Oh how I love long Summer days. No work, no responsibilities, just fun easy breeziness. We just fried ourselves on the beach in the sunlight and taunted some seagulls with crackers. I'm going to miss days like this when the famous Idaho Winter creeps back up on us. But for now, just sunshine puring over everything :)

Rouge

I just bought the Perfect red lip gloss. It's Maybelline Colorsurge lip gloss in shade 510. I highly recommend! Of course when wearing any strong lip color,it's best to keep your eye makeup to a minimum. A good look is simply peach shadow, black liquid liner,and mascara. Red lips always remind me of a classic 40s to 50s pinup type look, which is classic and is always in style! If you want to add a bit of pinup flash to your wardrobe an easy accessory is a red handkerchief, folded and used as a headband. You could also add some lingerie inspired items, like a silk or lace camisole, paired with tight cigarette jeans and flats or pumps.

Girly Things

I have been obsessed with flower prints as of late. I love them. They're the perfect easy thing to throw on for summertime, to put you in that bright and sunshiney mood. But flower prints aren't only limited to clothing. I have decorated my room with teacups adorned with flowers. along with other adorable things. Here are some pictures to inspire you.

Thrift Finds!

I looove going to the second hand stores in my area. They are so unique. I found these at my favorite, St. Vincent de Paul. There's something so satisfying about finding a little treasure that someone else thought was garbage.The hiker boots made me laugh, because they are the just like the ones my boyfriend wears! Only, the more feminine version, so I had to get them. Here are a few things that I found:

I always wonder who they are trying to sell to with these ads? Like an average woman would look at them and say, "Yes, their clothing would best aid me on my way to becoming a full-fledged prostitute. Looking at this naked woman makes me want to BUY THISSSS!!" Wrong.

Thrifting

I am so excited! I have a whole Saturday to go thrifting tomorrow! I haven't been in so very long on account of my money being spent on various other things. Ahem (drugs.) Kidding. I will post some outfit pictures tomorrow :) I will mostly be looking for costume jewelery, purses and SHOES! I have been looking for the perfect pair of cowboy boots to no avail...Does anyone know of some good online secondhand clothing stores? I would very much appreciate your help!

Room for One

Spring is almost here!(Sort of. Well. Not really.) And that means dusting off the Winter blahs, and doing some much needed cleaning.

Its so refreshing to get rid of all the extra stuff that's been piling up for-- who knows how long? I thought a great way to welcome Spring would be a room make over. :) I found some adorable things at a few online stores that I would like to share. I'm just getting some ideas for now...
